In my younger years I always wondered why bass, musky and pike fishermen used big lures. Well, the answer is obvious, to catch big fish! My theory is, just as a lion will not waste his time on multiple small meals, neither will the king of the lake. A bigger/easier meal is much more appealing to a big trophy musky or Northern pike.
